Feeling so hilarious while updating this blog with this post as it is about my own birthday! 19th Jan. I can bet god must be in crazy mood and made a selection for sending me on this beautiful earth.

It was a nice day. All routines followed, met friends, got online wishes. Arranged a very very small celebration all thanks to my cute small stubborn nephew who just know that if its a birthday there must be decorations, candles, cakes etc. Celebration was with family and mom-made delicious food.

Center of attraction was obviously my nephew who was there with a deal. Deal was like whenever I declare that my birthday is over he will go back to his home and finish his homework. Hahahaha!

After my half day office, I was busy will spreading invitation cards of my friend’s sister’s wedding. Never expected doing this on my birthday but it was a duty with real happiness of her getting married. God bless her!

This was my birthday! Enjoyed full! Got blessings and gifts! (I just love getting gifts like anything) lol

God bless you all and thanks you all!

How about beautiful colors on a sunny day in the sky, running here and there, up and down, crossing each other? Who likes it? The happiness to see so many bright color objects whole day.

Kite, it is believed that first kite was made in 2,800 years ago. I am sure you all can guess who made it, because when it comes to manufacturing it must only be China. Chinese people got that chance because kite building materials like silk fabric and resilient bamboo were readily available. It is said that chinese philosophers Mozi and Lu Ban invented kite. Then came paper kite which was used for sending rescue mission message, measuring distance, wind testing, lifting men, signaling and communication for military operations.

Kites were decorated with mythological motifs and legendary figures while some were fitted with strings and whistles to make musical sounds while flying. Threads used for kite flying/fighting are made from fine powdered bottle glass, gum and colors. It is dangerous to use such threads as it can harm you as well as birds and animals come across. Plain threads are recommended to save you and others.

Kite flying or kite fighting is very popular festival throughout the world. Different places with different beliefs and traditions. Celebration time is almost fixed and that is Spring season. Continents and countries involved in this festival are Asia, Europe, South America, Polynesia, etc.

Almost every terrace will have individual speaker sets and one can hear a rough mixture of loud music as if it is dj war along with kite flying/fighting. They will have fun on terrace or grounds, take their lunch there only. Time-pass snacks are mainly consists of chickpeas, sweets made from jaggery, ghee, sugar, etc. (with variation of sesame seeds, groundnut seeds, etc. known as “chiki”). Lunch main course will consist of Undhiyu (mixed cooked vegetables with gram flour dumplings full of spices), Chapati, Buttermilk, Jaggery, Papad, etc.

It is said that every festival and tradition is full of some scientific reason behind them. For kite flying/fighting people believe that, on this day they can spend full day out from four walls of house, fair physical workout and a good sun bath with healthy food items good for a wonderful cold atmosphere.

For those who are willing to do some donations, it is said to be the good day for donation. Donation options: Food & Clothes for hungry people/animals.

Wish you all a very happy Kite Flying (Makar-Sankrati)!

Have SAFE fun and enjoy open sky with so many colors!

After the HO! HO! HO! Merry Christmas celebration, now it is the time to welcome the new year. January 1st, 2013, the very first day of the new year. It is the time to forget all the bad issues raised in previous year and welcome every happy moments to our lives. Last day of the year, December 31st, 2012, we all were ready for the great party with family and friends, delicious food, cakes & chocolates and many other GOOD things. I said ‘GOOD’ because even non-vegetarian food and liquor comes under ‘not good’ list.

New Year’s Day is observed on January 1, the first day of the year on the modern Gregorian calendar as well as the Julian calendar used in ancient Rome. It is also said to be the global public holiday. New year’s day is declared as a postal holiday in United States.

Get some free time today … Sit relaxed… Close your eyes… Spend some time with yourself alone in peace… Come back to your body… Bless whole world with the same good wish of yours. (I asked to come back to your body.. you will know “why?” when you do it).

Hope you will help others this year like never before! Help can be done in any ways like just sit quite if someone is sitting next to you in deep thinking or just let somebody cut your que in rush hours. I am sure that couple of minutes won’t harm you at all!

With god, all your teachers, masters, well wishers, all angels & good energies be with you and shower you with best blessings. So be it.

Thank all of them in full faith. Thank you.

Once again, A very happy and prosperous new year to whole world.
